Very interesting subject on the net one year ago

No more puffy eyes

Puffiness around your eyes is caused by a build-up of toxins or excess fluids. Another cause of this puffiness is lack of sleep or excessive alcohol.

On a health note, puffy eyes may be indicative of an allergic reaction, a result of stress, or maybe you need to look at reducing your sodium intake. It may be worth bringing to the attention of your health care professional and discussing preventative options. But for the time being check out some home remedies that will help keep your puffy eyes at bay.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO PREVENT PUFFY EYES

Sleep on your back . To avoid morning eye or facial puffiness, sleep on your back so fluid doesn't collect there.

Avoid salty foods, which cause the under eye area (and the rest of your body) to hold fluid. salty foods can cause fluid retention.

Elevate your head when you sleep, to keep fluid from settling around your eyes & to encourage fluid to drain away from the eye area.

Pure water intake is vital to your general health and well being, and puffiness under eyes may be a result of fluid retention (this is related to high salt levels too), and water is essential to flush toxins out of your system.

Separate eye creams/gels are a must if you suffer from puffy or ageing eyes.

REDUCTION OF PUFFY EYES

Pressing & patting gently. Press gently along the eyebrow and around the eye socket with your middle finger. This will help reduce any swelling by stimulating the lymphatic system. For a cooling and soothing effect, store an eye cream or gel in the fridge and gently pat it onto the delicate skin around your eyes.

Cold compress. To reduce the puffiness, you can apply a cold compress until the area returns to it's original state.

Cold tea spoon. If you are prone to having puffy/swollen eyes in the morning, try keeping a teaspoon or two in the fridge for a quick fix. . Place the metal on the puffy area and gently press for at least 60 seconds. The cold spoons will help reduce swelling if you gently press the base over the puffy area. Use more cold spoons If you don't see improvement from the first two spoons .

Herbal remedies are a gentle, natural way to alleviate and reduce puffiness before you apply your makeup.

German Chamomile or green tea has excellent anti-inflammatory properties, so try chilling some chamomile teabags and place them on your eyes for 5 - 10 minutes, as a cold compress, to assist in reducing some of the swelling. Use an eye cream containing German chamomile.

Dandelion tea is a mild diuretic, so drinking this herbal tea will assist if fluid retention is contributing to your puffiness.

A black tea bag soaked in cold water on each eye for ten minutes will reduce swelling caused by fluid retention. Gently press from inner to outer corners to hasten drainage.

Use green tea that has steeped for five minutes and cooled. Wipe the eyes with this solution several times a day.

Rosehip tea. To reduce swelling and for bags under the eyes, brew a cup of strong rosehip tea. Soak 2 cotton balls in the tea or use 2 tea bags, lie down and place over the eyes.

Warm / cold Tea bags. Take two tea bags and boil them in hot water lay them on your eyes for 30 minutes and remove them then wash your face. The puffiness will disappear. Soak used tea bags in cold water for around ten minutes (making sure they are really cool) and place them on the puffy area. Start at the outside of the eye and roll them gently inwards.

Cold Potato slice . Get a potatoes slice it into two pieces leave in the fridge overnight ,place on eyes for 20 minutes. do this constantly.

Grated potato. To reduce puffiness of your eyes, grate a potato; tie in a cloth and place the cloth over your eyes for about 15 minutes.

Apply hemorrhoid cream (look for brands that contain ingredients of yeast and shark's liver oil) to the puffy area. Insiders have known for years that in just the way it gets the swelling out of that other area, it works the same way for the face.

Thin cold cucumber slices used as compresses over closed eyes will relieve sore, puffy eyes. Cucumber contains anti-inflammatory properties to reduce redness and puffiness of eyes. Slice a large cucumber, reserve two cold slices to place over eyes. Peel and puree the remaining cucumber. This can be applied as a pack onto your face. Remove after fifteen minutes. Apply moisturizer thickly to seal in water to your face.

Cream containing caffeine. To help deflate under-eye bags, use eye cream containing caffeine-this increases circulation, flushing out excess retained water. Remember to stay hydrated, this will help ward off water retention that may increase the size of under-eye bags
I've seen the above more than one year ago, and I think it's very important for my friends to have a look to it again
Next will be Hope(dream) in a Jar very interesting topics for today's anti-wrinkle dreams
